Gamo NGS-60 Sound Moderator
The Gamo NGS-60 Sound Moderator is a compact moderator for air rifles with a 1/2"-20 UNF thread. The NGS-60 is suitable for 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm airguns and can be used on various Gamo PCP air rifles as well as other compatible airguns with the correct thread.
With a length of approximately 21 cm and a weight of around 130 grams, the NGS-60 remains relatively compact and lightweight. The moderator screws directly onto the threaded muzzle of the air rifle.
Reduces muzzle noise
The Gamo NGS-60 is designed to reduce the muzzle noise produced when compressed air exits the barrel. This can be especially noticeable on more powerful PCP air rifles.
The moderator mainly reduces the sound produced at the muzzle. Mechanical noise from the airgun itself is not completely eliminated.
1/2"-20 UNF thread
The Gamo NGS-60 features a female 1/2"-20 UNF thread. The air rifle therefore needs to have a matching male 1/2"-20 UNF muzzle thread.
With 1/2"-20 UNF, the 1/2 inch refers to the nominal thread diameter of approximately 12.7 mm. The number 20 refers to 20 threads per inch (20 TPI).
This thread standard is used on various air rifles, so the NGS-60 is not limited to a single Gamo model. It can be suitable for different Gamo PCP rifles, including models from the Gamo Coyote and GX-40 series, provided they have the correct 1/2"-20 UNF muzzle thread.
Suitable for 4.5 and 5.5 mm
The Gamo NGS-60 is suitable for air rifles in 4.5 mm / .177 and 5.5 mm / .22. This allows the same moderator to be used on different compatible airguns, provided both the calibre and thread specification are correct.
Always check that the air rifle actually has a male 1/2"-20 UNF thread before fitting. Matching the diameter alone is not enough; the thread pitch must also be correct.
