Gehmann 542 M18 Clear Front Sight Aperture Insert with Black Ring

Gehmann 542 M18 Front Sight Aperture Insert

The Gehmann 542 is a clear plastic front sight aperture insert featuring a thin black ring, designed for M18 front sight tunnels on target and competition rifles. The black ring provides a clearly defined aiming reference, while the transparent material surrounding it allows the shooter to maintain a clear view of the target area.

Available in different aperture diameters in 0.2 mm increments, the Gehmann 542 allows shooters to select an opening that suits their preferred sight picture, target size and shooting discipline.

Clear Plastic with a Thin Black Aiming Ring

The Gehmann 542 combines a transparent plastic disc with a thin black aiming ring. This design provides a distinct visual reference around the target while keeping the surrounding area visible.

It is particularly suitable for target shooters who prefer the contrast of a black ring rather than a completely transparent front sight aperture.

Different Aperture Diameters in 0.2 mm Increments

The Gehmann 542 is available in a selection of aperture diameters with 0.2 mm size increments. Choosing the correct opening allows shooters to adjust the amount of visible space between the aiming ring and the target.

A smaller aperture provides a narrower area around the target, while a larger aperture offers more visible space. The preferred diameter depends on factors such as shooting distance, target dimensions and individual aiming preferences.

Select your preferred aperture diameter from the available product variants when ordering.

Designed for M18 Front Sight Tunnels

This aperture insert is intended for use with compatible M18 front sight tunnels. Before ordering, check that your front sight tunnel accepts M18 aperture inserts.

The Gehmann 542 M18 should not be confused with the Gehmann 542-22 version for 22 mm front sight tunnels. These versions have different dimensions and are not directly interchangeable.
