The Black Shadow can be used straight away with the open sights. If you prefer shooting with magnification, a scope can be mounted as an option on the 11 mm rail. A scope is not included with this version.

Classic Spring-Piston Air Rifle

The Gamo Black Shadow uses a traditional steel mainspring. To cock the rifle, the barrel is broken downwards. A 4.5 mm pellet is then loaded directly into the barrel, after which the barrel is closed and the rifle is ready to fire.

The main advantage of this system is its simplicity. There is no need for CO2 cartridges, an air bottle, pump or compressor.

4.5 mm for Recreational Shooting

This Black Shadow is chambered in 4.5 mm / .177. The calibre is well suited to recreational shooting, paper targets and suitable metal targets.

The rifle produces approximately 14 joules. This makes it a pleasant choice for recreational use without the much higher power of Gamo's larger Magnum models.

Adjustable TRU-GLO Open Sights

The Black Shadow comes standard with TRU-GLO fibre-optic open sights. The coloured fibre-optic elements make it easier to line up the sights quickly and clearly on the target.

The rear sight is adjustable, allowing the point of impact to be corrected. This means the Black Shadow can be used perfectly well without a scope.

Optional Scope Mounting

If you prefer shooting with magnification, a suitable scope can be fitted. The rifle has an 11 mm rail on top of the action for this purpose.

With suitable 11 mm mounts, a scope can be added later. This gives you the option of starting with the standard open sights and adding optics if you want to at a later stage.
