HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L Thermal Monocular – 640×512, 35 mm & Laser Rangefinder

HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L Thermal Monocular with Laser Rangefinder
The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is a high-performance compact thermal monocular for users who want both detailed thermal imaging and instant distance measurement in one handheld device. The LQ35L combines a 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 35 mm F1.0 lens, thermal sensitivity below 15 mK and an integrated laser rangefinder with a measuring range of up to 1,000 metres.
This makes the LQ35L especially suitable for larger areas and open terrain where both image quality and reliable distance estimation are important. You can not only detect where an animal or other heat source is located, but also measure the distance directly without needing a separate rangefinder.
640 × 512 thermal sensor
The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L features a high-resolution 640 × 512 VOx thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch. The high sensor resolution provides excellent detail and makes contours, body shapes and structures in the surrounding environment easier to recognise.
This becomes particularly noticeable during longer-distance observation and when using digital zoom. Thanks to the high native resolution, more image information is retained, helping objects remain clearer and more recognisable when magnified.
Thermal sensitivity below 15 mK
With a NETD value below 15 mK, the LQ35L can detect very small temperature differences. This allows subtle thermal variations to remain visible that could be lost with a less sensitive sensor.
This is particularly useful in challenging weather conditions such as fog, rain, high humidity or when there is only a small temperature difference between an animal and its surroundings. The image therefore retains more contrast and detail.
Integrated laser rangefinder up to 1,000 metres
The main difference between the HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L and the standard LQ35 is the integrated laser rangefinder. This allows you to measure the distance to an object directly through the thermal monocular at ranges of up to 1,000 metres.
The measured distance is displayed directly in the image, giving you a more accurate understanding of the situation in the field. HIKMICRO specifies a measuring accuracy of approximately ±1 metre.
This is especially useful across larger fields, meadows, heathland and other open terrain, where estimating distance by eye can be difficult. There is no need to switch between different devices.
35 mm F1.0 lens and detection up to 1,800 metres
The 35 mm F1.0 lens provides a balanced combination of magnification, field of view and observation range. HIKMICRO specifies a theoretical detection range of up to 1,800 metres for the Lynx 3.0 LQ35L.
The base magnification is approximately 1.9×, making the LQ35L suitable for both scanning larger areas and observing targets at medium to longer distances.
A detection range of 1,800 metres does not mean that a target can also be reliably identified at that distance. Practical recognition distance depends on factors such as target size, weather, vegetation and temperature differences.
Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro
HIKMICRO uses its latest-generation image processing in the Lynx 3.0 series. Image Pro 3.0 improves details, contrast and image noise, helping animals and other heat sources stand out more clearly from the background.
Zoom Pro is specifically designed to retain as much useful image information as possible when digital magnification is used. Combined with the LQ35L's 640 × 512 sensor, this provides a clear advantage when zooming in on more distant heat sources.
HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System
The Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is equipped with HIKMICRO's Shutterless Image System, also known as HSIS. Traditional thermal devices can briefly interrupt the image during calibration. The shutterless system is designed to minimise these interruptions.
This helps the image remain smoother and more natural when observing or following moving animals.
1920 × 1080 AMOLED display
The internal 0.49-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. This allows the detail captured by the high-resolution thermal sensor to be displayed clearly and sharply.
Several colour palettes are available, including White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Monochrome and Green Monochrome. This allows you to adapt the image to your personal preference and the conditions in which you are observing.
Photo, video and 64 GB internal storage
The Lynx 3.0 LQ35L can capture both photos and videos directly on the device. It features 64 GB of internal EMMC storage, providing plenty of space for recording observations in the field.
Wi-Fi connectivity also allows the thermal monocular to connect to a compatible smartphone using the HIKMICRO Sight app. This makes it easy to view recordings and use selected functions through your phone.
Replaceable 18650 battery
Power is supplied by a removable and rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery. HIKMICRO specifies an operating time of approximately 5 hours at 25 °C with the hotspot enabled.
Because the battery is replaceable, you can easily carry a spare for longer periods outdoors. The device also supports external power and direct charging via USB-C.
Who is the LQ35L 3.0 suitable for?
The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is especially suitable for users looking for a compact thermal monocular for medium to long observation distances who also regularly need to determine the distance to an object.
The combination of the 640 × 512 sensor, 35 mm lens and integrated laser rangefinder makes it particularly suitable for large open areas. At the same time, the high thermal sensitivity and detailed image make it equally useful in woodland and mixed terrain.
LQ35 or LQ35L?
The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 and LQ35L offer very similar thermal performance. Both combine a 640 × 512 sensor with a 35 mm F1.0 lens and thermal sensitivity below 15 mK.
The key difference is the integrated laser rangefinder in the LQ35L. If you mainly want to observe and do not need to measure distance, the standard LQ35 is the logical choice. If you want to measure the distance to wildlife or another object directly while observing, the LQ35L offers a clear functional advantage.
