The Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die for .45 ACP is a separate crimping die designed for finishing reloaded pistol cartridges. It applies an adjustable taper crimp and features a carbide sizing ring that checks the outside diameter of the completed cartridge.
The Factory Crimp Die is used as a final operation after bullet seating. This allows bullet seating and crimping to be performed as separate steps.
Adjustable Taper Crimp and Carbide Sizing Ring
The taper crimp presses the case mouth against the bullet without rolling it inward. The amount of crimp can be adjusted using the die.
The integrated carbide ring resizes the outside of the completed cartridge if any section exceeds the intended diameter. This helps reduce dimensional variations that could affect cartridge fit in the chamber.
