DIANA Airguns – a tradition dating back to 1890
DIANA is one of the best-known names in the world of airguns. The history of the German brand dates back to 1890, when Jakob Mayer and Josef Grammelspacher founded Mayer & Grammelspacher in Rastatt. The DIANA name was introduced in 1905, with the name and familiar logo referring to Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt.
Over more than a century, DIANA has developed a wide range of airguns. These range from traditional break-barrel rifles and competition models to powerful side-lever designs. Today, the range also includes modern PCP and CO₂ airguns, bringing together the brand's long history with more recent airgun technology.
Classic DIANA air rifles
Over the years, DIANA has produced many models that remain well known among airgun enthusiasts. One notable example is the DIANA Model 60, introduced in 1960. This competition air rifle used a system designed to significantly reduce the movement and recoil of the mechanism during the shot.
The DIANA Models 48 and 52 also have an important place in the history of the brand. These fixed-barrel, side-lever air rifles were introduced in 1987. The DIANA Model 54 followed in 1992 with a special recoil-compensating system. Although several of these classic models are no longer available new, many are still used and maintained by enthusiasts today.
Other older model names such as the DIANA 24, 25, 27, 35, 45, 50, 60 and 75 will also be familiar to experienced airgun shooters. Replacement parts are still available for some of these older models, allowing DIANA airguns that are several decades old to remain in use.
DIANA 34 – a well-known model series
One model series that connects different generations of DIANA is the DIANA 34. This traditional break-barrel design has been produced in various versions over the years. A modern version is the DIANA 34 EMS. EMS stands for Easy Modular System and combines the familiar DIANA 34 concept with a more modular design.
From traditional spring airguns to PCP and CO₂
Although DIANA became particularly well known for its traditional spring-powered air rifles, today's range is considerably broader. The brand now also produces PCP and CO₂ airguns for shooters who prefer a different power system.
One example is the DIANA Bandit PCP Pistol Regulated. This compact PCP air pistol features an integrated regulator and combines the convenient size of an air pistol with modern PCP technology.
CO₂ also has an important place in the current range. The DIANA Chaser Pistol is a compact CO₂ air pistol for recreational shooting. The Chaser series has a modular design, while the DIANA Chaser CO₂ Pistol and Rifle Set includes both a short and long barrel, allowing the configuration to be changed.
DIANA Trailscout
For shooters who want to combine the simplicity of CO₂ with a magazine system, there is the DIANA Trailscout 5.5 mm. This CO₂ air rifle uses three 12 g CO₂ cartridges and features a 7-shot magazine. It provides a very different shooting system from the traditional break-barrel air rifles for which DIANA became famous.
DIANA parts and accessories
With a brand that has such a long history, replacement parts remain important. At SEM Jacht & Schietsport you will therefore find not only complete DIANA airguns, but also various parts such as magazines and piston seals for both newer and older models.
The range also includes original accessories such as the DIANA Bullseye Zero Recoil Scope Mount. This special scope mount is designed to reduce the forces transferred to a scope when used on spring-powered air rifles.
