Image Quality and Night Vision Performance
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 features a CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. This 4K resolution provides detailed digital imaging, allowing smaller details to remain clearly visible even at higher magnification levels.
The sensor has a pixel size of 2 µm, a light sensitivity of 0.001 lux and supports a frame rate of 60 Hz. The IPS display with a resolution of 1280 × 1280 pixels provides sharp and smooth image reproduction.
The scope is suitable for daytime use and low-light conditions. In complete darkness, a compatible infrared illuminator can provide additional illumination.
Optics and Magnification
The 70 mm version offers a magnification range of 6.5–26×. Thanks to its higher base magnification, this version is particularly suitable for users who want to observe details at longer distances.
The horizontal field of view measures 5.2 metres at a distance of 100 metres. The focusing range extends from 10 metres to infinity.
By comparison, the 50 mm version offers a magnification range of 5–20× and a wider horizontal field of view of 7.3 metres at 100 metres. Choosing between the two versions therefore mainly depends on the preferred magnification and field of view.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 is available with an integrated laser rangefinder (LRF). The rangefinder is built directly into the objective lens assembly, eliminating the need for a separate LRF module mounted on top of the scope.
The European product configuration specifies a measuring range of up to 1,000 metres. This allows distances to be measured directly through the scope while maintaining a compact and streamlined design.
Important: The laser rangefinder is available depending on the selected configuration. Please check whether the chosen version includes an LRF before ordering.
Infrared Illumination – 850 nm or 940 nm
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 is available with 850 nm or 940 nm infrared illumination. PARD also offers a configuration without IR illumination.
- 850 nm: Generally provides a longer effective illumination range when comparing similar infrared illuminators. A faint red glow may be visible at the light source.
- 940 nm: Produces a less visible infrared light source. With comparable illuminators, the effective illumination range is generally shorter than with 850 nm.
IR Illuminator Mounting Options
The Night Stalker 4K 2.0 offers different options for using infrared illumination:
- PARD IR illuminator: A compatible PARD infrared illuminator can be mounted on top of the scope using the appropriate mounting system.
- Alternative IR illuminator: Another suitable infrared illuminator can be attached to the scope tube using a compatible mounting bracket.
This allows users to select an infrared illuminator according to their preferred illumination range and intended application.
Important: When using an alternative IR illuminator, always check the scope tube diameter, mounting bracket compatibility and illuminator diameter. The availability of an IR illuminator depends on the selected product configuration.
Operation and Additional Features
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 combines the familiar appearance of a traditional riflescope with modern digital features. The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) function allows a magnified section of the image to be displayed while maintaining an overview of the surrounding area.
The integrated ballistic calculator provides additional assistance when determining the aiming point. The scope also features photo and video recording, recoil-activated recording, a gyroscope and continuous video recording functionality.
Focusing can be adjusted using the side focus control. WiFi connectivity and available connections, including HDMI and USB-C, provide additional options for connectivity and data transfer.
Power Supply and Operating Time
The Night Stalker 4K 2.0 uses a dual battery system consisting of a built-in 21700 battery and a replaceable 18650 battery. This combination provides an operating time of up to approximately 6 hours, depending on the functions used and operating conditions.
The USB-C connection can also be used for an external power supply.
