Image Quality and Night Vision Performance
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 features a CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. This 4K resolution provides detailed digital imaging, helping smaller details remain visible even at higher magnification settings.
The sensor features a 2 µm pixel size, a sensitivity of 0.001 lux and supports a frame rate of 60 Hz. The IPS display, with its 1280 × 1280 pixel resolution, delivers a sharp and smooth image.
The scope is suitable for use in daylight and low-light conditions. In complete darkness, a compatible infrared illuminator can provide additional illumination.
Optics and Magnification
The 50 mm version offers a magnification range of 5–20x. Its lower base magnification provides a wider field of view than the 70 mm version, allowing a larger area of the surroundings to remain visible.
The horizontal field of view measures 7.3 metres at 100 metres. Focus can be adjusted from 10 metres to infinity.
By comparison, the 70 mm version offers higher magnification of 6.5–26x but a narrower horizontal field of view of 5.2 metres at 100 metres. Choosing between the two models therefore mainly depends on the desired magnification and field of view.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 is available with an optional integrated laser rangefinder (LRF). The rangefinder is built directly into the objective lens assembly, eliminating the need for a separate LRF module mounted on top of the scope.
The European product configuration specifies a measuring range of up to 1,000 metres. Distances can therefore be measured directly through the scope while maintaining its compact, streamlined design.
Please note: The laser rangefinder is configuration-dependent. Check whether the selected version includes an LRF before ordering.
Infrared Illumination – 850 nm or 940 nm
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 is available with 850 nm or 940 nm infrared illumination. PARD also offers a configuration without IR illumination.
- 850 nm: Generally provides a longer effective illumination range when comparing similar infrared illuminators. A faint red glow may be visible at the light source.
- 940 nm: Features a less visible infrared light source. With comparable illuminators, the effective illumination range is generally shorter than with 850 nm.
IR Illuminator Mounting Options
The Night Stalker 4K 2.0 offers different mounting options for infrared illumination:
- PARD IR illuminator: A compatible PARD infrared illuminator can be mounted on top of the scope using the appropriate mounting system.
- Alternative IR illuminator: Another suitable infrared illuminator can be attached to the scope tube using a compatible mounting bracket.
These options allow users to select infrared illumination according to their preferred range and intended application.
Please note: When using an alternative IR illuminator, always check the scope tube diameter, mounting bracket and illuminator dimensions for compatibility. The inclusion of IR illumination depends on the selected product configuration.
Operation and Additional Features
The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 combines the traditional appearance of a riflescope with modern digital functions. Its Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature displays a magnified section of the image while maintaining an overview of the surrounding area.
The integrated ballistic calculator provides additional assistance when determining the aiming point. The scope also supports photo and video recording, recoil-activated recording, a gyroscope and loop recording.
Focus can be adjusted using the side-focus control. WiFi and the available connections, including HDMI and USB-C, provide additional options for connectivity and data transfer.
Power Supply and Operating Time
The Night Stalker 4K 2.0 uses a dual battery system consisting of a built-in 21700 rechargeable battery and a replaceable 18650 battery. This combination provides an operating time of up to approximately 6 hours, depending on the functions used and operating conditions.
The USB-C connection can also be used for external power supply.
