HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 Thermal Monocular – 640 × 512 Sensor, 35 mm Lens & 15 mK

Product description

HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 Thermal Monocular

The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 is a compact yet powerful thermal monocular for users who want excellent image quality in a lightweight and practical handheld device. Within the Lynx 3.0 series, the LQ35 features a high-resolution 640 × 512 thermal sensor. Combined with the 35 mm F1.0 lens and thermal sensitivity of less than 15 mK, it delivers a highly detailed thermal image.

This allows the LQ35 to display not only obvious heat sources, but also subtle temperature differences in animals, vegetation and the surrounding environment. This is particularly useful in challenging conditions such as fog, high humidity, low temperatures or when animals are partially concealed by vegetation.

640 × 512 thermal sensor

One of the key features of the LQ35 3.0 is its high-resolution 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch. The increased resolution provides excellent image detail and makes it easier to distinguish contours, body shapes and other characteristics.

This advantage becomes especially noticeable when using digital zoom or observing animals at longer distances. More image information remains available, helping the thermal image stay clear and useful at higher magnification.

Thermal sensitivity below 15 mK

With a NETD of less than 15 mK, the HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 can detect very small temperature differences. A lower NETD value allows subtle variations in thermal radiation to be displayed more clearly.

In practice, this results in greater detail and more natural separation between different temperatures. An animal is therefore not simply displayed as a bright heat source; details within its thermal signature and surrounding terrain can also remain visible.

35 mm F1.0 lens and detection up to 1,800 metres

The 35 mm F1.0 lens provides a well-balanced combination of range, field of view and thermal performance. HIKMICRO specifies a theoretical detection range of up to 1,800 metres for the Lynx 3.0 LQ35.

This makes the thermal monocular suitable for a wide variety of environments, from woodland to larger open fields. Detection should not be confused with reliable recognition or identification. Practical recognition distance depends on factors such as target size, weather conditions and the surrounding terrain.

Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro

The Lynx 3.0 series incorporates HIKMICRO's latest image-processing technologies. Image Pro 3.0 optimises the thermal image and enhances relevant details, while Zoom Pro is designed to retain as much useful image information as possible when digital magnification is used.

These technologies are particularly effective on the LQ35 3.0 thanks to its 640 × 512 sensor. The combination of high sensor resolution and advanced image processing makes it easier to distinguish between animals and other heat sources at longer distances.

HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System

The Lynx 3.0 uses the HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System (HSIS). Traditional thermal imaging devices require periodic calibration during operation, which can briefly interrupt or freeze the image. The shutterless system is designed to provide a smoother and virtually uninterrupted viewing experience.

This is particularly useful when observing and following moving animals, as the thermal image remains smooth during observation.

Photo and video recording with Wi-Fi connectivity

The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 LQ35 can capture photos and videos directly to its internal storage. Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity also allows the thermal monocular to connect to a compatible smartphone using the HIKMICRO Sight app.

This makes it easy to review recordings, manage settings and view captured images on a larger screen.

Compact design for extended observation

Despite its high-resolution sensor, the Lynx 3.0 LQ35 remains a compact handheld thermal monocular. The controls are positioned so that important functions can be accessed quickly while observing with one hand.

Power is supplied by a removable and rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery. An empty battery can therefore easily be replaced with a charged spare, which is particularly useful when spending longer periods outdoors.

Suitable for woodland and open terrain

The combination of a 35 mm lens and 640 × 512 sensor makes the LQ35 3.0 suitable for a wide range of environments. In woodland, the detailed thermal image helps detect animals between trees and vegetation. In open terrain, the 35 mm lens provides the range required for observation over greater distances.

This makes the LQ35 3.0 an excellent choice for wildlife observation, terrain monitoring and hunting-related observation where high image quality and a compact handheld design are important.
