The Gamo Round Fun 4.5 mm 8.17 gr are fully round lead balls designed for recreational shooting, plinking and shooting suitable metal targets. Unlike a conventional diabolo pellet, these projectiles do not have a waist or skirt but feature a completely spherical shape. Each tin contains 500 round balls.

At 8.17 grain / 0.53 grams, the Round Fun is relatively heavy for the 4.5 mm calibre. These lead balls are particularly interesting for airguns specifically designed to use 4.5 mm lead round balls.

Especially suitable for the Gamo AF-10

A particularly good match for the Gamo Round Fun is the Gamo AF-10. When using Gamo 4.5 mm round balls, the AF-10's repeating system can be loaded with up to 10 round balls, making the Round Fun an excellent choice for recreational shooting with this air pistol.

4.5 mm lead round balls can also be suitable for various older air pistols, air rifles and repeating systems specifically designed for this type of ammunition. These include certain older systems and gallery or repeating air rifles from manufacturers such as Diana and Haenel.

Round Fun balls can also be loaded directly into the barrel of suitable single-shot 4.5 mm airguns. For modern rifled airguns, however, a conventional diabolo pellet will generally be the better choice when maximum accuracy is the main priority.

Not the same as a steel BB

The Gamo Round Fun is not a conventional steel BB. It is a fully round 4.5 mm lead ball weighing 8.17 gr. Many CO2 pistols and BB airguns are instead designed specifically for steel BBs.

An air pistol being suitable for steel BBs therefore does not automatically mean that it can also use Gamo Round Fun lead balls. With magazine-fed airguns in particular, always check that the magazine and feeding system are suitable for 4.5 mm lead round balls.

For recreational shooting and plinking

The Gamo Round Fun is primarily intended for recreational shooting and plinking. Its fully spherical shape and relatively high weight make it particularly interesting for short-range shooting and use on suitable metal targets.

For precision shooting at longer distances, a purpose-designed diabolo pellet will generally be the better choice. The Round Fun is at its best in airguns specifically designed for round balls and for straightforward recreational shooting.
