Ballistol Quick Browning is designed for restoring damaged firearm bluing and blackening small steel components. The chemical treatment produces a durable deep-black finish that blends well with the original bluing, making it ideal for repairing scratches, worn areas and minor cosmetic damage without refinishing the entire part.
Quick Browning is suitable for iron and gun steel containing up to approximately 3% chromium. It is an excellent solution for maintaining rifles, shotguns, pistols, revolvers and other firearms. For the best results, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned and completely degreased before application.
After the bluing process, the treated surface should be neutralised, dried and protected with a quality gun oil such as Ballistol Universal Oil or Ballistol Gunex. This helps preserve the new finish and provides long-term protection against moisture and corrosion.
