Ballistol Aluminium Bluing 50 ml
Ballistol Aluminium Bluing is specially developed for restoring and blackening aluminium firearm parts. It repairs light scratches, wear marks and cosmetic damage on aluminium receivers, scope rails, sights, trigger guards and other aluminium components found on firearms and airguns, producing a durable dark finish.
Use Aluminium Primer first
Aluminium naturally develops an oxide layer that prevents an even bluing reaction. For the best results, Ballistol recommends treating the surface first with Ballistol Aluminium Primer. The primer removes the oxide layer and prepares the surface for bluing, producing a deeper and more uniform finish. In many cases, sanding is no longer required.
Protect the restored finish
After bluing, protect the treated surface with Ballistol Gunex or Ballistol Universal Oil. This provides long-lasting protection against moisture, corrosion and wear while preserving the restored finish.
