Gehmann 577 Steel Thread Adaptor for Rearsight Irises
Gehmann 577 Steel Thread Adaptor for Rearsight Irises
The Gehmann 577 is a steel thread adaptor designed to allow compatible Gehmann rearsight irises to be used without their original 1.5x magnifying optic. The adaptor replaces the removable magnifying component, allowing the iris to be mounted directly onto the rear sight without optical magnification. The adjustment functions of the existing rearsight iris remain available.
Use Your Rearsight Iris Without Magnification
Certain Gehmann rearsight irises feature a removable 1.5x magnifying optic as part of their mounting assembly. The Gehmann 577 provides a mechanical replacement for this optical component, allowing shooters to retain their existing iris while removing the magnification.
This is a practical solution for target shooters who prefer a non-magnified sight picture or wish to adapt their sighting equipment to personal preferences and the requirements of a particular shooting discipline.
Installation and Compatibility
To install the Gehmann 577, the removable 1.5x magnifying optic is unscrewed from the compatible Gehmann rearsight iris. The steel thread adaptor is then fitted in its place, allowing the iris assembly to be mounted onto the rear sight.
The adaptor is intended specifically for Gehmann rearsight irises equipped with a suitable removable magnifying optic. Compatibility with the existing iris model should always be checked before installation.
Durable Steel Construction
Manufactured from steel, the Gehmann 577 provides a mechanical connection between the compatible rearsight iris and the rear sight. The adaptor contains no magnifying lens and is designed to replace the original optical mounting component without introducing additional magnification.
