Scope Mount Rails for Rifle Scopes, Red Dots and Other Optics
A scope mount rail provides the connection between your firearm and the mounting system for a rifle scope, red dot sight, night vision optic or other optical accessory. Choosing the correct rail ensures a secure, stable and repeatable mounting platform.
Our range includes Picatinny rails, Weaver rails, dovetail adapters, rifle-specific scope bases and rails for dedicated mounting systems. We also offer rails with built-in elevation, such as 20 or 25 MOA, when additional elevation adjustment is required.
Choosing the Right Scope Mount Rail
The correct mount rail depends on your firearm, the available mounting points and the type of optic you want to install. A rail designed for one rifle model will not necessarily fit another, so always check the product specifications before ordering.
- Firearm make and model
- Existing dovetail, Picatinny or Weaver interface
- Rail length and number of cross slots
- Mounting hole pattern
- Compatibility with your scope rings or mount
- Flat or inclined rail (for example 20 or 25 MOA)
- Preferred optic mounting height
Picatinny vs Weaver Rails
Picatinny and Weaver rails are the two most common mounting standards for rifle scopes and red dot sights. While they look similar, the dimensions and spacing of the recoil slots differ.
Many Weaver mounts fit on Picatinny rails, but Picatinny mounts do not always fit Weaver rails correctly. Always verify compatibility before purchasing.
Dovetail to Picatinny or Weaver Adapters
Many air rifles and sporting rifles are supplied with an 11 mm or 9 mm dovetail. With the correct adapter, these can easily be converted to a Picatinny or Weaver interface, allowing you to choose from a much wider range of scope mounts and accessories.
Always check the width of the dovetail before selecting an adapter.
Rifle-Specific Scope Rails
Rifle-specific rails are designed for the receiver dimensions and mounting points of a particular firearm. This provides an accurate fit and a secure mounting solution without the need for universal adapters.
Always verify the exact firearm model and generation, as mounting patterns can vary within the same manufacturer.
20 MOA and 25 MOA Rails
Some rails feature a built-in incline, commonly 20 or 25 MOA. This preserves additional elevation adjustment inside the riflescope and is often chosen when extra adjustment range is required.
For standard shooting applications, a flat rail is generally the preferred option.
M-LOK Rail Sections
In addition to scope rails, we also offer Picatinny rail sections for M-LOK handguards. These provide a solid mounting point for compatible accessories.
Rail sections are available in different lengths and materials, including aluminium and polymer.
Installing a Scope Mount Rail
A scope rail should be installed without stress and tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification. Always use the correct screws and ensure they are not too long.
If recommended by the manufacturer, apply an appropriate thread-locking compound. Using excessive or overly strong thread locker may make future removal more difficult.
